H7N9 China report fourth bird-flu death

(CNN) — A fourth person in China has died from the H7N9 virus, a strain of avian flu not previously detected in humans, state-run TV reported Thursday.

The number of human cases of H7N9 in China is now 11, according to the report. The latest figures come only days after Chinese authorities announced the first three known cases of humans infected with the H7N9 bird flu virus on Sunday.
