Boy, do I love smoothies. I personally think smoothies are a great option for breakfast, lunch, dinner or a snack, but now that it’s almost summer, these blended beverages are even more appealing than ever. Think about it: it’s refreshing, it’s fulfilling, it’s full of nutrients, and it’s fun. I mean, what’s more exciting than eating with a straw? Need to up your fruit and veggie intake? Throw them in the blender. Need a sweet treat to brighten your day? This delicious drink’s got you covered. My dairy free almond mango smoothie never fails to put a smile on my face, and as an added bonus I get the nutrients I need in one cup. It’s a feel-good food that actually makes you feel, well, good!
This smoothie is made from fresh mango, bananas, almond milk (My favorite is Almond Breeze), coconut, fresh cilantro, hemp seeds and ground cinnamon. I looove using fresh mango this time of year- it’s so summery and is great for giving your smoothie a smooth, creamy texture. The mango combined with the bananas and rich coconut flavor makes me feel like I’m at the beach every time I take a sip. Plus, you get 3 servings of fruit in just one quick meal or snack. The fresh cilantro is perfect for adding flavor without using sugar. Even better, cilantro is a natural cleanser that can help eliminate toxins and heavy metals from the body.
This drink is packed with fiber, protein, healthy fats, and other nutrients to keep you well-fed and satisfied all day. Best of all, this smoothie only takes 10 minutes to make so you can throw the ingredients in your blender and whip one up when you’re in a rush or don’t feel like cooking.
This smoothie is great for those with allergies or dietary restrictions because it’s Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free, Soy-Free, Vegetarian, and Vegan! Next time you need an afternoon snack, light breakfast, or meal on-the-go try my Dairy-Free Almond Mango Smoothie- I promise you’ll love it.
